Well... guess what I saw this long weekend? Yup... The one and only Da Vinci Code. As much as I'd love to say I adored the movie, I could only say THE BOOK WAS SO MUCH BETTER! Now for one thing, I don't mean this post to come out as an aweful review because I must give some good credit to the film. The actors did a superb job but perhaps I shouldn't have read the book three times before seeing the movie.

I think that after reading the book, one gets a certain picture in their mind about the setting, characters, aura and the plot. Upon seeing the movie, I realized that even if you hadn't read the book, you would sort of be lost because the book gives out way more information. The movie leaves out explanations, indulging you more into the hollywood part of finding things out on your own.

I guess its true to say that most books are better than the movie.

I think the built up craze for releasing the film had much to do with the high numbers already hitting the charts. People, including myself, were waiting anxiously for the movie to come out and they will see the film regardless of what the film critics say about it. It is the main talk everywhere and you want to get involved in the craze, so you see it in order to talk about it.
