it monster

Have you ever wondered what someone is talking about when they describe an experience by constantly referring to “it”? “It was overwhelming” or “it was exciting” or “it’s really hard” or “I can’t stand it”. When someone describe their experience as “it” what do they really mean? “It” seems to encompass an omnipotent form, reduced into two letters i and t. “It” seems to represent a form of object representation although I am no expert in object relations concepts. I have affectionately named “it” as the It Monster.

The It Monster is an invisible force relentlessly following someone who seems to constantly attribute their experiences to it. What an ingenious way to transfer internal affect (feelings) to an outside object. The It Monster can not exactly hurt you however its game is to stay close enough to motivate a person to move further from its seemingly disturbing proximity. A game that is a little more perplexing than tiggy tiggy touch wood.

paramour sessions review

Over the years, Papa Roach have put out four major label albums: Infest, Lovehatetragedy, Getting Away With Murder, and The Paramour Sessions. Each album up to this point has been quite a bit different from the last, so does Paramour continue that trend? We'll take a look at that in a second.

Papa Roach finally drop the dreaded nu-metal tag with their new album full of rock solid anthems 'The Paramour Sessions'. pening track and first single ‘…To Be Loved’ is a raucous explosive track with a massive chorus showcasing frontman Jacoby Shaddix’s advancement to date with his voice dominatating throughout. With the second track ‘Alive (‘N Out Of Control’) the ‘nu-metal’ tag is well and truly gone as the track screams epic proportions.

From then on its track after track of solid rock with the change between pace constant throughout with ‘What Do You Do?’ a track you could see thousands upon thousands swaying along to and singing every word back at the band at the top of their lungs.
Closing track ‘Roses On My Grave’ is three minutes thirteen seconds of of eery rock with a massive sound accompanied by an orchestra before the near the end the pace increases to bring the album to a climax.

For those who have the UK bonus addition you get two extra tracks including arguably the best track from ‘Getting Away With Murder’, ‘Scars’, giving fans a taster of what is yet to come in October when they return for a full tour. ‘SOS’ puts the final bit of icing on the cake.
This album may take old Papa Roach fans a while to get into but give it time and ‘The Paramour Sessions’ will prove to be Papa Roach’s best album yet!

we got shot

we had our shoot done yesterday at york u done by none other than anthony parazo from colelli studios. at first he was kinda hesitant to do them there because he didnt think it could be compared to the distillery district downtown, but at the end, much to his own surprise, he thanked us because it was a great shoot and he was happy w/ the results.. as were we!! it was so much fun, i think he took over 30 shots... and my teddy and i totally cant wait to preview our proofs. anthony was fun to work with and i recommend him to u out there. its a bit pricy but what can ya do.. weddings are costly these days. so much for just one day.. but the best day of ur life. i might or might not post the pictures.. actually what i will do is have only those close to me take a glance of it.. cuz i want it to be a surprise for the wedding. we did so many poses around the vari hall, curtis, york lanes, student centre area. his ideas worked well with ours and im just soooo excited to see the end result!! oh what the heck-- maybe ill post just one little pic. but then again.. i dont want strangers to see what we look like hehe. blah! oh the internet... so good yet so bad!

the scoop

not a scoop of icecream... although i wish i could have some ben and jerry's homemade icecream right now.. oh yah.. some of that good ol chocolate chunky monkey icecream. or some of that new york super fudge chunk chocolate... ohhhh boi.. it has begun.. the cravings.. the drooling.. the waaaanting.

so back to my scoop of life. member that package i've been waiting for to come from the U.S.? the one w/ all my supplies ive been waiting for? yah.. that one. WELL guess what? after tracking the package on fedex.ca for a couple of weeks.. i have been told it is going back to the shipper because they couldn't find the reciever. hello? thats me! but guess what? i dont live in one of the 50 states! do you think that's why u couldnt find me? mmhmm i think so! so this whole time they thought my address was in the U.S... not in canada. obviously it was their mistake because im pretty sure i know my own address by now. been practising it since i was 2.. wha wha thas right. the waiting game is getting old and i want my package! my personalized ribbons... my blue tulle.. my blue flowers for the arch.. ohh i cant wait till that blue day.

another package should be delivered to my bro's g/f today in U.S. i sent it there because maybe.. perhaps theres a chance it could get lost coming here. its my neice's flower girl dress.. she's gunna dazzle in it because that too is white and blue. its quite funny how my flag is blue and white... i guess God knew i was gunna like blue so he threw me in w/ the Greeks! haha.

alas, my scoop for today. im gunna see my baby boi tonight. he's so stellar. and thats why were 2gether. i wuv him tons. were going to york to check out some good spots to take our engagement photo shoot on sunday. gunna get my makeup done that morning by sandra and hopefully ill get my hair done sometime tomorrow. ta ta for now! gunna binge on some chocolate to warm me up.

a day like today

what would you call a day like today? gloomy? nah. its not that dark. sticky? kinda. its pretty humid out there. i dont know what a day like today would be called. i think its because its just one of those days where you dont feel like doing anything, but you should be doing something. does that even make sense? do you ever wonder what it would be like to hibernate? that sounds like a good idea right now. i dont feel like going outside because the sky looks polluted, its all slate grey and just looking out the window produces this sort of sticky feeling because it reminds me when i went out this morning and the weather just stuck to me like crazy glue. u know, i kind of miss going to school. well actually what i miss most is going to classes with teddy. learning together was pretty fun, and if the class got boring, well, we'd just put our heads down and look at eachother. i need to make reading a pastime activity again. starting now would be a good idea. however i dont feel like moving from this one spot im in. the dog has been sleeping ever since he woke up. he gets up, looks out the window, goes back to sleep. i wonder what he thinks sometimes. he understands everyone who speaks to him quite well. i would say he's fluent in two languages. haha is that even possible for a dog? who cares-- my dog knows everything. but today he's lazy. it looks like its gunna rain. i feel it in my bones. the leaves are going to start changing colours soon. the days will grow shorter and the night, longer. nature will go into hibernation as the flowers will wither and the fruits will stop growing and the trees will become statues with their hair falling out. the wind is blowing through right now. i can hear ringing from the bells attached to the wind catcher. various nik naks being taken away by the wind are making noises as they pound against the walls of the deck. the plants say 'ahh, this feels nice' as the wind fans their faces, sweating from the sticky heat. allergy season is almost over. alas, no more itchy/watery eyes, sneezing and coughing for me. this is another sign that winter is coming. i like winter. the cold does not bother me too much as long as i am cozy and warm ofcourse. the house is cold because the heater has not been turned on yet. its still early they say. and it is warm out still. when the dog looks for warm spots in the house, this is sign that winter is coming. how can a dog get cold at this time of year? so many questions in my head... but im too lazy to answer them.

tiara

When went at last the stars a-bed
And the morning gloaming raised her glowing head
With a tiara-crown of inwoven turquoise
All was lost ... in the early earth's panting noise ...

umm yah... so there's a little poem about my tiara... basically, in one word. it is STELLAR. i love it because it matches my turquoise theme and because its something different than your average heart tiara. and it says me all over it. cuz there's only one of it. for me. and no. im just kidding. u can go buy one too but good luck finding one sucka! hahahaha.

i think i can get used to wearing such a thing.. crown rather.. on my head! all hail meeee.. the one.. the only... [hmpff. cant think of anything so you fill in the _______________.] when i have this on i feel like a princess. an all blue princess. an all blue princess who has a blue theme. did ya hear that? NO PINK. the only kinda pink u'll find at my wedding is the D.J. playing one of pink's songs. maybe.
