I've been given two books to read from work and I am really happy with them. I've learned so much about myself, and others with this book in particular.
"THE ENNEAGRAM MADE EASY" - Renee Baron & Elizabeth Wagele
The "enneagram" comes from a Greek word ofcourse :) Ennea means the number 9 and gram means a drawing. So put that together and what do you get? A drawing with nine points!
Before I got hired, I was to do a personality test on the computer. This was done in order to find out the type of person I am. Well, I am type two!
TYPE 2: The Helper: Here are some words taken from pages 25-26 of the book.
Two's are motivated by the need to be loved and valued and to express their positive feelings toward others. Two's are loving, caring, adaptable, insightful, generous, enthusiastic, tuned in to how people feel. They are at their best in a relationship, are attentive, appreciative, generous, warm, playful, and nurturing. Two's make their partners feel special and love. [here that teddy?] hehehehe. Two's can't say no very easy and would drop everything to help a friend.
There's tons more about the type 2 people, and pages and pages on other types as well.
I highly suggest you read this book. It will help you read people and pinpoint what type they are. Now I know that we can't always fall into a category because we are human-- we are bound to act differently around different types of people. You can be a mix of the 9 types but generally this book says that you will fall under one type.
